About Our Association
The College Heights Estates Association (CHEA) was formed in 1995 in response to several important issues impacting our community at that time. While individual issues come and go, it is likely there will always be local issues that impact community members.
This website is designed as a communications vehicle for CHEA members. It will be updated on an 'as needed' basis. CHEA members may use it to stay up-to-date on news and issues. Four times a year, a CHEA newsletter will be distributed to CHEA members.
PURPLE LINE PUBLIC INPUT MEETING
SCHEDULE
The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is continuing its initiative to consider the future of transit-oriented development (TOD) at five proposed station areas along the planned Purple Line light rail transit corridor: Riverdale Road, Riverdale Park, M Square, College Park-UMD, and West Campus.
A series of recent meetings, held with neighborhood residents and business owners, helped to identify existing conditions, TOD opportunities, and areas for future study. Another round of neighborhood meetings will begin to offer you an opportunity to envision the future of your community and its relationship to the Purple Line. The meetings will allow you participate in the definition of a vision and give input on each station's identity, streetscape, architectural character, uses, and amenities. Your ideas and comments will inform the development of preliminary concept plans for each of the five station areas.
All meetings are open to the public.
